Canicule by Kostas Bartsokas is a display serif typeface forged, as the designer puts it, in Mediterranean summer heat. It is a vivid, organically expressive design that recalls the natural movement of the pen — where the elongated, delicate serifs of the lighter weights gradually transform into denser, more glyphic structures as the weight increases, creating a visual progression that rewards the eye across the full weight range.
