Walthari Font

Walthari is a captivating typographic revival by Peter Wiegel, breathing new life into an 1899 design by Heinz König originally produced for the Rudhard’schen Giesserei of Offenbach. The result is a remarkable fusion: the rich blackletter roots of Jugendstil rotunda intertwined with a Roman structural sensibility, producing a face that feels simultaneously historical and surprisingly modern.
