What Font Does Hotline Miami Use?

The Hotline Miami Font uses two contrasting typefaces in its logo design. The word “HOTLINE” is written in Disco Duck by Iconian Fonts, a bold retro display font with rounded, exaggerated shapes. The word “MIAMI” appears in a narrow sans-serif style similar to Fight This by Apostrophic Labs, creating a sharp visual contrast.

Both fonts help establish a neon, violent, and retro-inspired aesthetic that reflects the game’s chaotic atmosphere. These typefaces are commonly available and are often used in fan art, posters, and synthwave-inspired designs.

About Hotline Miami

Hotline Miami is a top-down action video game developed by Dennaton Games and released in 2012. Set in a surreal version of 1980s Miami, the game is known for its fast-paced combat, brutal difficulty, and psychedelic visuals. Its narrative explores themes of violence, identity, and morality through fragmented storytelling. The game achieved cult status due to its intense gameplay, electronic soundtrack, and striking visual identity. Typography plays a major role in reinforcing the retro neon mood that defines the Hotline Miami experience.
