Color Of The Year 2014 – Radiant Orchid – Websites For Inspiration

Yesterday i read Jacob Gube’s article on Design Instruct about the color of the year ”Radiant Orchid” (Pantone – Color Of The Year 2014).Annually Pantone declares a particular color “Color of the Year”. Twice a year the company hosts, in a European capital, a secret meeting of representatives from various nations’ color standards groups. After two days of presentations and debate, they choose a color for the following year and this year ”Radiant Orchid” has been chosen as the color of the year.

Pantone says:Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple—one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health. – Read Press Release

So what about this color in web design industry?Well,to be honest it’s quite hard to find websites using the exact color-match but we tried to put together websites designed using ”Radiant Orchid” and very similar ones.
